Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Services
Methodist Medical Center offers two areas of Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Service. Both services are accredited by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation:
- Cardiac Rehabilitation
Cardiovascular diseases are America's No. 1 killer, with someone dying almost every minute. Every year, cardiac rehabilitation programs are helping approximately 200,000 Americans who have had a cardiac event or diagnosis of a cardiac problem.
- Pulmonary Rehabilitation
Pulmonary rehabilitation can help people with lung disease manage their chronic illness through supervised exercise, education on respiratory care, oxygen therapy, smoking cessation programs, nutritional counseling, and psychosocial support.
- Smoking Cessation
Methodist's Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation program offers Freedom from SmokingĀ® classes four times each year. The American Lung Association developed the Freedom from SmokingĀ® classes.
